Global Executive MBA in Spanish

Specialized education at the graduate level is virtually indispensable today for those who want to successfully meet the new challenges and demands created by technological advances and the globalization of business. The University of Miami’s Global Executive MBA program , designed for highly experienced Spanish-speaking executives, entrepreneurs and other professionals in Latin America, answers this call.

The Global Executive MBA program enables professionals to enhance their business knowledge, improve their management skills and strategic decision-making abilities, and expand their professional network through close interaction with a select group of business leaders from across Latin America.

Classes are taught in Spanish over 18 months, with most sessions held on the University of Miami’s main campus in Miami. The program is divided into seven two-week sessions.

Admission Requirements

• Completed online application
• A U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
• Copy of degree diploma
• Original transcripts for each undergraduate institution attended including a certified English translation of the transcript
• Résumé (applicant must have six or more years of professional work experience)
• Letter(s) of recommendation; one must be from applicant’s employer
• Proof of employment/business card
• Reading-level knowledge of English
• Interview, by invitation only

Outstanding Research and Learning Environment

The business school is housed in a modern complex surrounding a tropical courtyard with a food kiosk and picturesque outdoor seating along a waterway. The School of Business Administration encompasses the George W. Jenkins Building and the William and Elsa Stubblefield Classroom Building in one complex. The Stubblefield Building contains classrooms outfitted with the latest audio/video equipment, faculty offices, administrative areas, and conference rooms. The Sanford L. Ziff Graduate Career Services Center and the Alma Jennings Foundation/Carlos and Rosa de la Cruz Study Center comprise the lower floor of the Jenkins Building. The spacious Study Center includes several separate soundproof study rooms that easily accommodate study groups.

The 48,000-square-foot addition to the business school complex, completed in the year 2000, includes graduate classrooms, the 300-seat Storer Auditorium, the James W. McLamore Executive Education Center, the MBA student lounge, and a state-of-the-art computer lab. The 300-seat auditorium accommodates business guest lecturers and student and faculty presentations, providing opportunities to enhance the learning experience. Classrooms, dedicated exclusively to graduate programs, incorporate the most recently developed technology, including full computer network access at every student's seat, and projectors linked to a lectern with built in computer and Internet access. A five-story, 12,000 square foot, Kosar/Epstein Faculty Office Wing is the latest addition to the School of Business complex. The top three floors contain 36 faculty offices and meeting rooms above a two story open breezeway for students along the adjacent waterway. The Faculty Office Wing was made possible through a lead naming gift from 1994 Alumnus of Distinction, Bernie Kosar (BBA '85) and his business associate David L. Epstein, founder of Precision Response Corporation.

The UM School of Business is accreditated by AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the premier accrediting agency for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in business administration and accounting. The School is also accredited by CAHME (the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education) and by SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools).
