The changing structure of the population creates new health care needs. People affected by old age, illness, or disability want to be able to stay in their home environment for as long as possible. In addition, both knowledge about the social space as a health-relevant influencing factor and the integration of health technologies into the home environment continues to increase.

This creates new requirements for the design of social spaces. This creates an innovative field of work and the need for appropriately trained staff.

This is exactly where the bachelor's degree in Health and Social Space comes into play by conveying a link between the social space and the provision of health services as well as the creation of healthy living environments.
