The Biology Department seeks to assist students to become equipped in the field of biology and to develop a Christian worldview that will accompany them throughout their lives. Our program is designed to help students acquire core biological principles along with the solid educational foundation that will serve them in any biology career as they make decisions to become academicians, researchers, physicians, health care workers, environmentalists, and teachers.

A private, Christian, four-year, coeducational, liberal arts-based university offering associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. Founded in 1823, Union is the oldest institution affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. Located in Jackson, Tennessee, Union is approximately 80 miles east of Memphis and 120 miles west of Nashville. Union also has extension campuses in Memphis and Hendersonville, Tennessee.
