As part of your Doctor of Chiropractic degree at NWHSU, you can pursue our Sports Emphasis and receive the training you need to provide this level of care.

During your internship as part of the Sports Emphasis, you will learn alongside Dr. Andrew Klein, director of the Human Performance Center and International Sports Chiropractic Federation (FICS) Education Chair. Gain valuable experience as you study under the accomplished fellows in the Human Performance Center while working with high school athletes and high-performance teams like: Minnesota Vixen, Minnesota Freeze, USA Tug of War, NFL alumni, James Ballentine VFW Post 246, Minnesota Alliance Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Crossfit, Minnesota Vipers, Cougars Ultimate Frisbee, Drag n Thrust Ultimate Frisbee, and Minnesota Star Power Ultimate Frisbee.

Get real-world education from leaders in your field. You’ll apply learned classroom material in our public and student clinics, assisting healthcare practitioners in treating clinic patients. Students at NWHSU receive 2–3 times the hands-on experience required for board certification.
