Finance and Accounting (FTMS)

In response to the demand for a top-notch human resource in accounting and finance in Vietnam, NIIE has partnered with FTMS (Singapore) offering the program of Finance and Accounting. Founded in 1986, FTMS Global Academy (FTMS) is one of Singapore's educational institutions offering academic and professional programs with an operating network in 10 countries in Asia, Europe, and Africa.

The program of Finance and Accounting of FTMS emphasizes practical knowledge and skills which ensure students to a successful career in financial management and accounting after graduation. The program is also recognized by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant UK (ACCA) for exam exemption for CPA.

CURRICULUM

The program is aimed at equipping students with solid knowledge of finance, accounting, and auditing, as well as the standards and methods of financial and accounting practice commonly used in businesses. It also creates a great stepping-stone for students to further study the last year to get bachelor degree or higher and brings students opportunities to get the professional accounting and auditing certificate from ACCA.

The training program lasts 2 years. Students, apart from international accounting standards, will be equipped with the accounting system of Vietnam.

QUALIFICATION

After graduation, students are awarded a Higher Diploma in Accounting and Finance by FTMS Global Academy, Singapore, which is internationally-recognized and have the same rights and privileges as the ones gained by students studying in Singapore.

ADMISSION

There are 4 terms a year, enrollment in October, January, April, and July. Admission is based on reviewing applicants’ high school transcripts and English proficiency level. Applicants (without proof of English proficiency) are required to sit for English placement test and take English courses at NIIE if their English level is less than 4.5 IELTS (or equivalent).

CAREER

Graduates will be able to work as an accountant, a financial analyst, an auditor, a tax officer, a credit officer, a banker, etc. With the international standard knowledge in finance and accounting and high proficiency in English, graduates are preferred by employers and may seek employment outside Vietnam.
