Chemical engineering is concerned with the design, development, and management of facilities that convert raw materials into useful products. The engineer must assume responsibility for the economical use of the raw materials, preservation of the environment, and profitability of the operation. The chemical engineering program has been designed to provide both the engineering competence and the professional skills necessary to succeed in this endeavor.

Learn about equipment design, control-system design, fluid mechanics and heat-transfer operations, mass-transfer operations, and chemical reaction engineering.

The Center for Learning Innovation addresses the evolving needs and challenges of the learning environments at Illinois Tech. Center staff have years of experience helping faculty with online and in-person course instruction. Instructors can look to the center for assistance in managing faculty development and outreach, and in providing faculty training for online education, instructional design and technology, and pedagogy for both online and classroom learning.

The center will continue to refine and expand its service offerings in an effort to address the evolving needs and challenges of an online learning environment.
