The aim of the mechanical engineering master’s course is to impart in-depth knowledge about the use of sophisticated theoretical resources, modern methods and development tools in the process of developing / designing new products. The subsequent production and assembly process should not be considered separately but integrated into this product development process.

The Hochschule Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences is a university of applied sciences in Thuringia. It is idyllically located on the edge of the Thuringian Forest. Particularly noteworthy is the possibility of obtaining a double degree at a foreign partner university: Master's students at the Faculty of Economics can obtain an MBA as a second degree in the USA, Canada or Spain free of charge.
