The Psychological Sciences program builds knowledge and skill basic to our 21st-century science. Students will be able to transfer knowledge and skills to careers in a diverse world and better understand themselves and others.

The undergraduate Psychological Sciences program at Chadron State College adopted student learning outcomes associated with five comprehensive learning goals developed by the American Psychological Association (APA).1 Student completing a major in Psychological Sciences will be tested in “performance indicators” embedded throughout the curricula as part of the assessment strategy adopted by the Undergraduate Psychological Sciences Program Committee.

Chadron State College, founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska. As a public institution with its roots in teacher education, Chadron State has evolved into a comprehensive college with a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs. The College chooses to celebrate collaboration and works diligently to create alignment between every department on campus. In fact, alignment is a crucial element of Chadron State 2030, the college’s strategic plans collection. Chadron State 2030 brings together the Master Academic Plan, the Campus Master Plan, and the Chadron State Foundation’s comprehensive campaign. All three work together to create a high-quality learning environment for students and an engaging and rewarding place to live and work.
