A Collaborative Approach to the Future of Music

Carnegie Mellon University's Music and Technology program was established in 2009 as a joint project between three of the schools: The School of Music, School of Computer Science, and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Building on this interdisciplinary approach, Carnegie Mellon University's Music and Technology program gives students everything they need to become the future of the music industry.

We encourage critical inquiry and creative production, melding CMU with society and culture.

At the College of Fine Arts, we cultivate a community of nationally and internationally recognized artists and professionals within our five schools (Architecture, Art, Design, Drama and Music), our associated programs (BXA Intercollege Degree Programs and Arts & Entertainment Management), the Miller Institute for Contemporary Art and the Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry.
