Industrial Safety is the discipline in charge of risk prevention and limitation, as well as protection against accidents capable of causing severe damage to people, property or the environment derived from industrial activity, use, operation and maintenance. facilities and equipment, as well as the production, use or consumption of industrial products. Its scope of application covers facilities in the industrial environment but also public establishments (hotels, gas stations, hospitals, etc.) and products and services for daily use (vehicles, electrical appliances, elevators, heating, etc.).
There is currently no official university master's degree in industrial safety in Spain. Taking this master's degree will allow engineering professionals to be trained in this specific discipline and respond to a social and business need to protect people, property and the environment from the consequences of failures in the facilities. In addition, it will allow professionals to be incorporated into the labor market who provide an overall vision of this matter, who effectively and efficiently manage and control the facilities, in addition to complying with legal requirements and documentation with the Administration.
50% of the master's degree is taught by external professionals from national and international companies of recognized prestige, business associations and professional associations, so that students will be provided with a practical and realistic vision of the performance of the profession for which they are being trained.
