Bachelor of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering
The McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering is designed to deliver a practical hands-on, rigorous learning experience that has consistently yielded national award-winning, sought-after graduates. Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the program supports minors in Bio-Process Engineering and Environmental Engineering and offers elective courses in Biochemical Engineering, Bio- Separations, Plant Management, Polymer Engineering, Pharmaceutical Processes, Energy Engineering and numerous undergraduate research projects.

Guided by faculty with engineering work experiences from industry-leading companies such as Pfizer, Shell Oil, Koch industries and doctorates from Yale, Rice, Michigan State and Wayne State Universities, chemical engineering students benefit from a truly exceptional experience . The department faculty makes sure that students obtain the skills and preparation that are needed to be successful in their future professional and academic careers.
Students will typically have multiple work experiences through professional internships or Co-ops before they graduate. In addition, students are exposed to numerous plant trips, professional and academic speakers, and have an industrial mentor.
