More children, young people and adults are at risk of being marginalized due to increasing expectations and demands for individual performance and mastery. This has led to a greater need for special educational competence at all levels in the education system. Such competence is important for uncovering special needs in education and for developing educational offerings that are better adapted to children, young people and adults who are struggling.

The education shall provide students with broad practical, theoretical and critical knowledge about the education in kindergarten and school, with special attention directed to special educational measures.
