Widely recognized and respected for its graduates' quality, the Early Childhood Education program at UM-Flint offers three tracks to prepare you for a rewarding career working with young children, birth through eight years old. Choose the option that fits your background and professional goals.

UM-Flint’s Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education is designed for early childhood education professionals who seek graduate study in their field or pursue a career in early childhood education—including individuals with extensive backgrounds in child development who do not hold an elementary teaching certificate.

The School of Education and Human Services (SEHS) at the University of Michigan-Flint is for students pursuing careers as educational leaders, teachers, social workers, and other related fields. Each SEHS student has the opportunity to engage with the community in meaningful ways, from student teaching to service learning projects and more.
