Opportunities and experiences

Your studies are enriched by visits to courts, prisons and youth offender training centres. Our students have joined mock murder hunts, contributed to hate crime scrutiny panels, and investigated miscarriages of justice. Some have been as far afield as Los Angeles and San Francisco, gaining insights into US correction facilities and gang prevention projects.

Careers and employability

BSc (Hons) Criminology graduates progress to wide-ranging roles in the police, Crown Prosecution Service, courts, probation and prison services, youth offending teams and various law enforcement agencies. Some pursue rewarding careers in the voluntary sector, working with offenders or victims.
