Mestrado em Estudos Internacionais

The MA in International Studies combines an interdisciplinary core with an in-depth study of a disciplinary field and a substantive concentration. In addition to their topical studies, students obtain a broad exposure to the intellectual fields of international studies and the theoretical traditions scholars have used to study our complex world. Students interested in pursuing careers in diplomacy or other parts of the public sector, the private sector, or the nonprofit world often favor this degree. In addition, the degree works well for those students who wish to pursue a Ph.D., whether for an academic or other career track. The MA in International Studies is our most flexible degree, with myriad opportunities to tailor a program to fit special needs, interests and professional goals. Graduates work in public, private and nonprofit sectors, working in the United States and abroad in careers with organizations such as the Department of State, Department of Energy, United States Agency for International Development, World Bank, United Nations Development Programme, Red Cross and Human Rights Watch.

We offer flexible and interdisciplinary training in a variety of fields, and our graduates pursue jobs in all areas of foreign policy, non-governmental and multilateral organizations. Students design their own specializations within degree programs and may elect to add graduate certificates in order to further enhance their areas of expertise.

Thanks to small classes, mentored research and experiential learning—and a 95% job placement rate—Korbel students are ultimately employed as change-agents in organizations around the world.
