Economics affects every aspect of our lives. Economics addresses the collective behaviors of businesses, industries, governments, international relations, and the world. It is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in the complex study of how businesses and governments balance either resources about human capital, land/property, income, investments, taxes, and expenditures. The economics program is designed to provide students with a solid grounding in economic analysis and quantitative decision-making skills that allow them to follow various business and government career paths.

Located in the heart of Alabama's business center, UAB's Collat School of Business offers an engaging learning environment with classrooms extending well beyond the UAB campus walls. Our unique location allows our faculty to integrate the State's leading companies' practical experiences - from Fortune 500 corporations to entrepreneurial startups - into the programs we offer.
