The Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Health and Social Care has been designed around practical skills and tasks that place an emphasis on you demonstrating what you can do rather than what you know in theory.

The qualifications give you the opportunity to acquire and develop generic, transferable and sector-specific skills for Health and Social Care in order to complete tasks and demonstrate a level of achievement that enables you to progress to further learning or into work.

The Certificate offers an introduction to the health and social care sector, after which you can progress onto the Diploma later in the academic year. Modules covered may include; Developing and Personal Progression Planning, Communication Skills for Health and Social Care and Advising Others About Healthy Lifestyles.
