Recreation, sport, and tourism studies is a broad field that includes study in mountain history, fitness, and active living programs, as well as arts, culture, and heritage. As a GPRC student, you can complete one year towards the Bachelor of Arts in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism at the University of Alberta.

Grande Prairie Regional College, known as GPRC, was established in 1966 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and includes campuses in Grande Prairie, as well as in Fairview, Alberta. GPRC offers something for everyone with a variety of educational options including university transfer; diploma and certificate programs; apprenticeship and pre-employment trades training; and adult high school equivalency completion.
