• Štěpán Fiala: Dr. Štěpán Fiala completed postgraduate studies at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Production Machines and Equipment. Now, at the mentioned Institute, he works on machine communication between devices, SCADA systems, and IOT hardware. His particular focus is the control of hydrostatic servo drives.

EIT Manufacturing Doctoral School

EIT Manufacturing (EITM) Doctoral School is part of EIT Manufacturing, a European association of leading Universities, industries and research centres linked to the manufacturing sector, with the aim of boosting the European manufacturing to become globally competitive and sustainable for the society. Graduated EITM PhDs will be prepared to generate start-ups or to be leaders of innovation within manufacturing companies and ecosystem, contributing to European competitiveness and environmental sustainability.

Being immersed in the close-knit EITM community of leading researchers, industrials, and entrepreneurs, who are accustomed to producing high-impact science and practical innovations, PhD students have the possibility and the appropriate conditions to build a strong CV and a work ethic, which delivers results.

The EIT Manufacturing (EITM) Doctoral School Programme offers a wide range of activities, such as summer and winter schools, seminars, hackathons and other innovative pedagogical approaches. International academic and industrial exchanges and a final industrial-based thesis complete the Programme.

The students can personalize the study plan choosing among the annual offering of the EITM Doctoral School. At the end of the EITM Doctoral School programmes, the PhD students receive the EIT label certificate, as the international recognition of their high education quality achievement.
