The objective of the international Master in Materials Science and Engineering "Biosurf - Biomimicry and Surface Engineering" is to train scientists in materials science and surface engineering through a new transverse approach to biomimicry and ecological transition. This Master's degree offers a cross-disciplinary approach to biomimicry: biomimicry and ecological transition, manufacturing and functionalization of surfaces, and digital sciences. It provides theoretical learning based on numerous practical activities as practical work or projects in connection with the SURFAB technical platform.

École Centrale de Lyon is one of the top 10 engineering schools in France. ENISE, which became our institute’s first internal school, is also part of this openness. In the wings, the lecturer-researchers and staff contribute to Ecole Centrale de Lyon’s transformation by bringing projects to life. This collaborative dynamic drives us to redesign the institute to offer our students an advantageous environment for these projects, meeting the highest international standards.
