Dalian Polytechnic University – or DPU – is located in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city with the mild and pleasant weather. Known as China's “City of Romance”, Dalian is the most international city in Northeast China and one of the most dynamic cities in Northeast Asia. With a wide variety of choices for entertainment, sightseeing, arts, and culture, students have opportunities to unwind and be inspired outside of academia. Students have access to Dalian's comprehensive system of public transportation, including buses, Bus Rapid Transit, inexpensive taxis, and a brand new subway system. Our campus is conveniently located a 15-minute drive away from the airport and the train station. Founded in 1958, DPU's campus covers four-hundred seventy-thousand square meters. It is home to 16,000 undergraduate students and 1,600 graduate students. More than 400 international students study at here annually. As a multidisciplinary university, DPU offers degree courses in engineering, science, art, management, business, and the liberal arts, including 50 bachelor degree programs, 13 master degree programs, and 3 doctoral degree programs. Three of our prestigious degree programs are taught in English: Food Science and Engineering, International Economy and Trade, Computer Science and Technology. DPU offers a number of scholarships to make university study more affordable, including the Chinese Government Scholarship, Liaoning Government Scholarship, Dalian Government Scholarship, and Dalian Polytechnic University Scholarship. As an internationalized university, DPU offers international opportunities to students. Campus Life

In order to enrich the campus life and enhance the Chinese application ability of international students, various and colorful extracellular activities are developed including calligraphy, painting, Erhu, Taiji, Chinese operas, paper cutting, knitting, cooking and etc. Tours to different cities are arranged for international students to know conditions of China, history, and cultures, which arouses the learning interests of international students and promotes language learning.
