Cameron University Department of Business exists to educate and prepare diverse students. It serves to become skilled professionals who will add value to their organizations, professions, and communities. The Department strives to expand understanding of the effective and efficient operation of organizations and their dynamic environments. The Department creates a student-centred approach to lifelong learning as well as innovative and experiential business-based learning opportunities.

The Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) degree is a dynamic online program designed to prepare men and women to be leaders in military, governmental, entrepreneurial, and corporate ventures and further graduate studies.

Cameron University’s history is rooted in Oklahoma’s statehood. In 1908, a year after Statehood, the Oklahoma Legislature created six agricultural high schools – one in each judicial district. The Cameron State School of Agriculture was named for the Rev. E. D. Cameron, a Baptist minister and Oklahoma’s first State Superintendent of Schools. The first classes were held on Statehood Day, Nov. 16, 1909, in the basement of a bank building in downtown Lawton while a new campus building was constructed west of town.
