The undergraduate history major, mainly to cultivate the comprehensive development of morality, intelligence and beauty, to meet the needs of social and economic development and socialist modernization in the 21st century, with a solid foundation, broad knowledge, strong ability, and quality Senior applied and compound history teachers and educational management professionals in the field of history education with high characteristics of the times, innovative spirit and practical ability. After graduation, students can engage in teaching, scientific research and other work in various schools, enterprises, government agencies, cultural, cultural and tourism institutions.

Students of this major mainly study the basic theories and basic knowledge of historical science, receive basic training in Chinese history and world history research, basic training in educational theory and practice, and have the basic ability to engage in history teaching and teaching research.

Bohai University (BU), established in February 1950, is a comprehensive university administered by Liaoning Provincial Government. BU is in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, China. Jinzhou is a seaside city with a long history and cultural tradition.

It covers 2,250 Chinese mu (approximately equaling 1,500,000 square meters) of land area and more than 600,000 square meters of floor area. BU has established 19 sub-level colleges administering 48 programs for bachelor's degree. It owns 18 Level-1 programs for master's degree, 7 programs for professional master's degree, and those programs cover economics, laws, education, humanities, history, philosophy, science, engineering, agriculture, management, arts, etc. There are now more than 21,900 full-time postgraduates and undergraduates at Bohai University.
