The College of Nursing's Baccalaureate Program provides students with a well-rounded foundation in nursing. Help solve the United State's nurse shortage while providing top-quality patient-centered care. The baccalaureate program at the University of Utah is designed to reflect the mission and philosophy of the University and the vision, mission, goals, and expected outcomes of the College of Nursing. Graduates of the baccalaureate program will achieve the following:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.
• Advocate for the well-being of patients and the profession as leaders and managers.
• Apply the foundations of knowledge in humanities and sciences to professional nursing practice.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively to improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism consistent with standards of moral, ethical and legal nursing practice.
• Utilize information management and technologies to lead safe, quality patient care.
• Integrate theory and research into evidence-based practice.
• Recognize that health care delivery and professional nursing practice occur within contexts of social,

The University of Utah College of Nursing offers a wide range of programs, including Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Ph.D., and Dual DNP-PhD. Eligible students can study through distance learning—online programs include RN-BS baccalaureate track, all MS programs, and select DNP tracks. The college also offers undergraduate and graduate certificates, specialized training in gerontology, and experiential education through the College of Nursing Simulation Center.
