Economic growth, the evolution of society and the expectations of territorial development originate a demand for functionality, quality and sustainability of transport and the city. The growing need for social and economic activity to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable demands a constant improvement of the functional conception of infrastructures and their quality, of the services they provide and of the conception of the city and the territory where they are implemented. . The increase in population, the need to promote the quality of the landscape associated with tourist activity, especially along the coast, the reorganization of production processes and economic activities, and the mobility that all this entails, generate the need to review the models of urban and territorial occupation and implementation of transport infrastructures in a territory already highly anthropized. This evolution requires the training of expert professionals from a multidisciplinary perspective, who can technically and scientifically support the necessary sustainable development, through transport systems and intervention in the city and territory.
