The vehicle engineering major focuses on practical teaching links, and sets up a curriculum system around the job requirements of the vehicle manufacturing industry chain. Experimental teaching platforms such as automobile design and development, vehicle dynamics performance analysis, automotive electronics and intelligent driving experimental teaching platforms have been established. The existing teaching and scientific research equipment is worth more than 10 million yuan. Focusing on engineering ability training and innovation ability training, it has established a production practice base in cooperation with many well-known auto companies in the area to provide a fully industrialized practice environment for students' engineering practice.

首都体育学院is the only higher physical education college in Beijing. In 1960, it was transformed into Beijing Normal University of Physical Education. In 1962, it was merged into Beijing Normal University. In 1979, the Beijing Normal University of Physical Education was restored. In 2000, it was renamed the首都体育学院. In 2020, according to the classified development plan of Beijing's public universities, our school was identified as a "high-level characteristic university".
