The Department of Nursing proactively incorporates mission-oriented learning in small groups to educate students into nurses with "the capability to act independently" and "the ability to work as a team." Individual guidance is provided by homeroom professors immediately after their enrollment, and dedicated support continues until their career path after graduation is decided.

In terms of learning environment, the department offers environments for self-learning, together with laboratories equipped with simulators and multimedia classrooms.

The students have practical training in various prefectural, public and private health institutions and medical institutions, which help students in choosing their career paths.

The department offers syllabus models for students wishing to take national examinations for public health nursing and midwifery, or a Nursing Teacher Type I license.

Students will acquire opportunities to play vital roles in medical care, social services, administrations and school education through their four years of study.
