Students typically—though not exclusively—seek a Master’s Degree in English Education in order to enhance their practice as secondary English teachers and/or to enter the Ph.D. pipeline in order to expand future career pathways. Though a Master’s degree from any institution might serve the purpose of boosting salaries for teachers working in districts that (still) provide incentives for advanced degrees, a degree from Purdue conveys a level of integrity and rigor that both students and employers find meaningful and valuable.

Throughout our history, we have prepared thousands of teachers, administrators, counseling psychologists, and education professionals for challenging and rewarding careers in education.
