Greenwich School of Management is a not-for-profit, independent School of higher education. The School is a specialist teaching institution offering programmes of study leading to qualifications in business management and cognate areas, as well as awards of various professional bodies.
Founded in 1973, the School has produced over 20,000 successful graduates, many of whom occupy key management positions in industry and the public sector around the globe. Many of the School’s students proceed to further studies and research in the university sector after having successfully completed their programmes at Greenwich School of Management.
There are currently over 900 students enrolled at the School. Almost 40% of the students are from the UK or EU countries. The remainder represents over 60 nationalities across the globe. The full-time day programmes are particularly popular with international students, whilst the evening and executive weekend study options are the preferred choices of home-based students. The School is proud of its diverse mix of experiences, nationalities and cultures.
The School offers validated degree programmes which include BSc(Hons), MBA and MSc degrees through partnerships with such institutions as the University of Plymouth, the University of Wales and Northwood University in the United States of America.
The School was recently subject to a Periodic Review conducted under Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) guidelines. The review was an outstanding success and demonstrated the School’s commitment to quality assurance.
The School is located in historic Greenwich and occupies a fine Art Deco building with a landmark 180 ft clock tower. The School prides itself on its personal, tight-knit, caring and friendly ambience. By day, the School has a mix of international and home students whilst the evening classes attract local City of London based managers. The weekend and executive students are high fliers or fast trackers destined for top management posts.
The School is small enough for staff to know all the students personally and this gives the place an intimate atmosphere. Staff are caring and responsive and students very much feel part of the community of the School. The town of Greenwich is historical and has a collegiate feel to it, with bookshops, bars, antique markets and the royal park on the School’s doorstep.
The School has three main intakes throughout the year: in February, June and October. The weekend and executive programmes can be started in any month.
The teaching faculty combines a depth of academic knowledge with practical experience of management. In addition, the faculty engages in management research as well as management consultancy projects. Faculty members from the School’s partner universities frequently contribute to the teaching and development of programmes at Greenwich.
Over 1000 successful MBA’s and almost 800 BSc(Hons) graduates have obtained their degrees at Greenwich School of Management.
Over the past 30 years, Greenwich School of Management has been recognised as an institution that meets the needs of students, employers and the wider academic community, and has a deserved reputation as being one of the leading independent business schools in London.
Accreditation: Greenwich School of Management is accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education.
