Teaching Methods
The learning and teaching methods we use are designed to ensure that the programme is both vocationally relevant and academically challenging. Our approach is student-centered, practical, participative and relevant to the needs of the student and employers. We have moved away from the traditional teacher-centric learning in which the student's role is rather passive. Instead, we focus on a more independent learning approach, where you will be encouraged to generate and critically evaluate theory and practice.
As well as the traditional lecture, seminar and workshop formats, we adopt a multi-platform approach to learning that includes a wide range of supporting material, including podcasts, webinars (internet-based seminars), discussion boards and independent (including web-based) study. The nature of the classroom setting is a balance between knowledge transfer, interactivity, and group activities; with students having the opportunity to contribute to the learning environment.
Our range of modules from theoretical to practical and business-orientated will equip you with a critical awareness of the role of business in society and the wide range of knowledge and skills necessary to excel as a leader in the industry and social business or to launch your career as the entrepreneur.
