As experienced educators, we are very conscious that our teaching and learning strategies emphasize the learner's role. There will be lectures, seminars, tutorials, and group work to enable active participation in the learning process.

Subjects can include Reflective Practice in Educational Settings; Studying Curriculum; The Education of Vulnerable Young People; International Perspectives on Education; Single Dissertation; Families, Schools, and Society.

Assessment involves various coursework, including essays, individual and group presentations, reflective learning logs, and a small scale research proposal design.

Furness College is a general further education college in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. It is situated over two campuses: the Channelside Campus with its outstanding vocational facilities and the Sixth Form Campus on Rating Lane, where our A level offer is delivered.

The Education and Skills Funding Agency has consistently assessed the College as having OUTSTANDING financial health, including the most recent complete academic year, with any surpluses re-invested into students' facilities.
