This course equips you with a diverse range of clinical capabilities, focusing on preventative skin health and anti-ageing dermal therapies. Supported by a theoretical foundation in health science, you will learn how to develop advanced skin health protocols and responding to a range of client/patient conditions using high levels of aesthetic technology.

Torrens University students who have completed the Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) are eligible to enrol in the HealthCert Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) will be capable of incorporating new aesthetic technologies and innovations into their professional practice and making a meaningful contribution to the industry. Students will enjoy a collaborative learning environment to maximize learning and engagement. Torrens University students who have completed the Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) are eligible to enrol in the HealthCert Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy. We have also partnered with the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians (ASDC) to offer our students and graduates the opportunity to apply for full ASDC membership and be eligible to use the title "Dermal Clinician."

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Perform and coordinate various dermal treatments efficiently, following the necessary health and safety processes and procedures within a clinical environment.

Determine and develop integrated frameworks and treatment plans based on a thorough understanding of the client's needs.

Identify and review current research developments, methods, and skills appropriate to the Aesthetics sector to determine its impact on the sector.

The Australian National College of Beauty (ANCB) no longer delivers the Diploma of Beauty Therapy, but we are thrilled to introduce you to its new home: Torrens! We are so excited that our sister university offers you both the Diploma of Beauty and Spa Practice and the Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics). By studying the Diploma of Beauty and Spa Practice, you will have the option upon completion to upgrade your qualifications to a bachelor’s degree. The Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) is an innovative program that delivers high-quality training and provides a strong foundation in health science, coupled with a clinical focus on preventative anti-ageing and wellness protocols.
