Laurea Magistrale in Orticoltura e Agronomia

Sponsored cooperatively by several departments, the Graduate Group in Horticulture & Agronomy includes faculty involved in a wide range of horticultural and agronomic research areas, including faculty in the Departments of Plant Sciences, Entomology, Environmental Science and Policy, Land, Air and Water Resources, Plant Biology, Plant Pathology, and Viticulture and Enology.

In this program, students gain advanced knowledge of Plant Science in one or more of the following areas: agroecology; biotechnology; breeding and crop improvement; crop physiology and production; mineral nutrition; modeling and quantitative horticulture; pest management; plant growth and development; postharvest physiology; revegetation and restoration; and water relations. Students graduate with the qualitative and quantitative skills necessary for professional research and teaching in one or more of the following areas: agroecology, crop improvement; postharvest handling of horticultural commodities; and the production, management, and utilization of horticultural and agronomic plants.
