Graduates with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from any community college in Ohio have transferable credit that should allow direct placement in the BASEMENT program's junior year coursework.

Continuation pathway for graduates with an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Students may begin as a freshman and declare the BASEMENT Program as their major. The opportunity for the intermediate associate degree credential is also available if coursework is completed as outlined.

North Central State College has a friendly, small-town atmosphere with most of the students coming from the local area. The College enrols more than 4700 students per year and is the largest public college in the region. The student population is made up of students enrolled in College Credit Plus, traditional students who enrol after graduating from high school and non-traditional older students who return to college to update their skills or train for a second career.

A growing segment of the open enrollment is high school students participating in College Credit Plus. North Central is a lead partner in the development of a multi-county P-16 Council, charged with improving access to education and increasing prosperity of individuals by meeting the changing employment needs of regional business and manufacturing.
