Teacher Education has been a major focus of the MSU campus mission for over 125 years. MSU has a strong reputation for preparing qualified teachers for schools throughout the country with eighty percent of the MSU graduates securing teaching positions in North Dakota. The master’s degree and graduate credit offerings provide professional-level training to increase the number of master's degree teachers, assists with addressing the teacher shortage areas across the state, and graduate credit to assist teachers for licensure renewal and salary increases due to lane changes.
