Executive MBA

Commenced in 2003, Korea University’s E-MBA is the very first 2-year MBA program in Korea. With renowned professors, we create courses that provide the most updated business knowledge and skills to our students. It is designed to equip our students a wider and deeper perspective, adopting strategic and systematic approaches.

To maximize learning outcome, the E-MBA adopts an intensive module system within which each course is completed over 2 weeks’ time. Students will have opportunities to participate in a variety of learning experience including class discussions, case studies and group works. Our students are encouraged to collaborate with professors and students for a successful learning outcome.

Our curriculum provides a range of learning options for fulfilling students’ diverse field of interest. For example, students are welcome to request for new courses (regular course, Summer/Winter Session, special lecture). Students may study their own field of interest through 'Independent Study' and 'Executive Learning and Interactive Team Exercise', which offer students the opportunities to study one-to-one with a professor or participate in small-group discussions.

Korea University Business School has been leading the Korean business administration education, starting from teaching commercial science in the department of plutology in 1905, and is one of the most important departments with the longest history at Korea University.

After being renamed as ‘Department of Commercial Science’ in 1910 and as ‘Department of Commercial Affairs’ in 1922, the first ‘Business School’ was established in 1955, and the first MBA was established in 1963. Korea University Business School is indeed the pioneer which introduced the western modern business administration education in Korea. Furthermore, Korea University Business School marked a milestone in the history of university architecture by building world-class school buildings, including the Business School Main Hall, the first building in Korea dedicated to the single department, the LG-POSCO building, which is funded entirely by donation for the first time in Korea, and the Hyundai Motor Hall, which was established with the largest donation of 3,600 individuals and organizations in the history of university architecture.
