Master in Ingegneria Industriale

Upgrade your industrial engineering skills through a professional degree program delivered via distance education. Designed to help you raise your engineering knowledge and practice to the next level, this program includes coursework that provides both breadth and depth in the industrial engineering discipline. The Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree requires 30 credit hours of coursework. For nondegree-seeking graduate students: up to nine (9) credits may be applied to your M.Eng. Program of Study and Committee (POSC).

Brief History

Engineering was one of the first programs offered at Iowa Agricultural College (now Iowa State University) when the university was established in 1858. The first students who arrived in 1869 studied agriculture and mechanics. Soon after, several branches of engineering developed out of the mechanics course. When the first Iowa State class graduated in 1872, six of the 26 students graduated with engineering degrees – four in civil and two in mechanical.
