The Mission of the Holy Family University Doctoral Program is to facilitate the development of effective and ethical leaders for schools and communities who can make significant contributions to their fields of knowledge through applied research.
With a Doctorate of Education in Educational and Organizational Leadership you will:
Become an effective and ethical leader for schools and organizations—capable of making significant contributions to your field of knowledge through applied research. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and skills by specializing in one of the following four concentrations:
Organizational Leadership – Offers a business perspective on organizational leadership and prepares individuals to lead a wide variety of non-profit, for-profit, and community organizations.
School Leadership and Administration with Pennsylvania Principal Certification – Prepares teachers and other school personnel to obtain Pennsylvania certification to serve as a public school principal (pre-kindergarten through 12th grade).
School Leadership and Administration with Superintendent Letter of Eligibility – Prepares school administrators to obtain Pennsylvania certification to serve as a public school district superintendent.
Curriculum and Instruction with Pennsylvania Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction (pre-kindergarten through 12th grade) Certification – Prepares teachers and other school personnel to provide leadership in school curriculum models and instructional practices. Individuals may also apply for Pennsylvania certification to serve as a supervisor of curriculum and instruction (pre-kindergarten through 12th grade) in a public school district (pending approval by the Pennsylvania Department of Education).
