Master in Economia e Commercio Internazionale (M.A.)

Welcome to the accredited master program offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden. We are highly committed to being an educational institution of excellence in the fields of business and economics.

Located in a historic city almost in the geographical center of Germany, we aim at an international group of students and expect more than two-thirds of our master students to have an international background and to come from different countries. A modern campus building with state-of-the-art technology, a high level of interaction between students and faculty members, and small groups of students working together provide a learning environment you may not find elsewhere.

The Master of Arts in International Business and Economics program reflects our idea to provide our most valued assets - our students - with a truly international approach in a unique programme and to prepare them for a successful professional career in business or for their subsequent research.

The Master of Arts in International Business and Economics starts each summer and winter semester, and is a two-year research-based quality programme with a strong international focus. The next intake is Winter 2021.

The first year (two semesters) will take place from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022.

The Hochschule Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences is a university of applied sciences in Thuringia. It is idyllically located on the edge of the Thuringian Forest. The green campus is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Thuringia and Germany. All facilities such as lecture halls, laboratories, cafeteria, library, residential complexes and sports facilities are within walking distance. Study excellent and internationally

Under the umbrella of the five faculties of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, economics and business law, the Hochschule Schmalkalden Sciences offers a wide range of study opportunities. The practical relevance and the good facilities at the university are the most frequently mentioned reasons for choosing to study in Schmalkalden. Forms of training such as project studies and practical phases are just as natural as small learning groups and close contact with the teachers.

All courses offer numerous opportunities to study abroad. The Hochschule Schmalkalden has a broad network of over 150 partner universities worldwide, which extend as far as Australia. Many students take the opportunity to study a semester abroad or do their internship in a foreign company and thus gain valuable experience. Particularly noteworthy is the possibility of obtaining a double degree at a foreign partner university: Master's students at the Faculty of Economics can obtain an MBA as a second degree in the USA, Canada or Spain free of charge.
