Master of Science in Scienze Marittime

The MSc in Maritime Science is an interdisciplinary program designed for students who already hold a master's degree. It's jointly offered by the Universities of Ghent and Brussels (VUB) and is unique in the global landscape. As one of only a handful of maritime programs in the world, it offers a varied range of judicial, economic, technical, scientific and governance courses aimed at understanding the diverse and evolving maritime world.

Guided by renowned teachers in their respective fields, you are introduced to the many different facets of the maritime world, ranging from the technical operation of a ship to the administrative functioning and economic importance of ports as well as the many international rules governing maritime traffic. In addition to the theoretic background, a wide array of Port and Company visits greatly increase linkts to the professional world, with the multi-day visits to London and rotterdam serving as some of the highlights of the program.
