Associate of Applied Science in Addiction Studies

You can make a difference in your community by working with individuals and families affected by the abuse of alcohol and other drugs.

This program of study provides the foundation, knowledge, and skills to effectively work with individuals and families experiencing difficulties resulting from drug use, misuse, or dependency, and behavioral addictions.

The addiction studies program at Edmonds provides you with instruction from industry leaders and teaches you the necessary skills for working in the recovery field. Our instructors teach a holistic behavioral-health care approach accredited by the National Addiction Studies Accreditation Commission. Our graduates not only satisfy the requirements for earning a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) certification with the Washington State Department of Health, employers in various disciplines highly seek them.

Each year, Tritons take part in a variety of extracurricular activities that prepare them to lead and succeed! Our students are community focused, logging in more than 11,000 service hours every year, and our Triton athletic teams hold 66 championship titles. We hold more than 100 campus events each year and have 50 student clubs to choose from!
