This major trains compound talents with a solid mathematical foundation, proficient computer skills, strong foreign language skills, preliminary scientific research training, good scientific literacy and engineering awareness, and certain software development capabilities and financial knowledge.

This major is divided into two directions: software development and financial mathematics. In the direction of software development, students have a solid foundation in mathematics and basic theories and knowledge of computer software, are familiar with software development processes, and master mainstream software development platforms and programming languages. After graduation, he mainly engaged in software development and Internet application work in IT companies. The financial mathematics direction trains students to have a solid foundation in mathematics and financial theory, as well as comprehensive financial professional knowledge. Graduates can engage in statistical calculation, forecast analysis, practical operation and management in banks, securities, insurance, funds and other enterprises.

Anhui University of Science and Technology (AUST) was established in 1945. It is the earliest engineering college in Anhui Province and one of the two earliest universities in China conducting the higher education of mining sciences. It is under the co-construction of the Anhui Provincial Government and the State Administration of Work Safety.
