Information and communication technology (ICT) is intertwined throughout society. Without ICT you are not able to pay by card, work, drink water, travel and use electricity. Visible and invisible, computers ensure that our society functions. That makes the field in which you will be working very diverse. In the first year of the full-time Computer Science program at Hogeschool Leiden , you can choose one of the four specializations: Software Engineering, Forensic ICT, Business Data Management and Interaction Technology. The 'making' of solutions is central to the HBO degree in Informatics. You learn the techniques and theory through video education and in practice during workshops. When completing your assignment, you can use the facilities in our own FabLab. During your studies you have a lot of freedom of choice, so that you can give your own accent to the study program. The Dutch education system features two types of higher education institutions: research universities and universities of applied sciences. UAS Leiden is a university of applied sciences.
