The B.S. in Environmental Studies offers an extensive suite of policy courses which will enable you to understand the public policy debates surrounding environmental issues and ultimately participate in the formulation of policy. It integrates courses from the college’s four departments – Atmospheric Sciences, Geography, Geology and Geophysics, and Oceanography – to give you the solid foundation in Earth system sciences needed to effectively participate in and affect those debates. ENST majors will select an area of specialization from Urban Environments, Geographic Information Science and Technology, Environmental Regulation and Compliance, Occupational Health and Safety, or Global Environment.
The College of Geosciences at Texas A&M University offers a comprehensive program in geoscience research, education and engagement. The College is made up of a diverse mix of academic departments and programs that examine the solid Earth, the atmosphere, the oceans, and human cultures to address the intimate relationships between people and Earth systems.
