Baccalauréat ès sciences en counseling communautaire

The Bachelor of Science in Community Counseling degree is designed to foster an understanding of counseling theories, social issues, and effective counseling practice with a diverse population. The degree will prepare students to work with children, adults, families, and groups in numerous human service settings.

Students will be prepared for entry-level positions in community mental health centers, youth and family service agencies, child and family caseworkers, state health and human services departments, substance abuse treatment programs, addiction specialists, correctional facilities, detention centers, and director of residential programs.

Students will be prepared to continue their education in graduate programs in psychology, counseling, and human services, leading to licensure as a licensed professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, behavioral practitioner, and alcohol and drug abuse counselor.
