Interior Designers create comfortable, convenient, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the physical and psychological needs of their occupants. Interior Designers are involved with every aspect of an interior space, from planning the layout to shaping the space in three dimensions, to enriching and embellishing the space with materials, finishes, and furniture.

Professional interior designers must be able to communicate their design ideas to clients via presentation boards, models, and color renderings as well to the contractors who will build their designs via construction documents. Interior designers must design spaces that meet life safety codes, the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and sustainable design standards.
