Licence en Études Religieuses

This degree is designed for those who would like to gain a solid grounding in Adventist history, theology, faith and the Bible but do not necessarily want to go into formal ministry. It deals with philosophical ideas and their history and biblical teachings and offers the chance to ask questions, seek answers and form opinions.

Unlike the Bachelor of Arts in Theology, the Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies does not require studies in the ancient languages of Greek and Hebrew. He is ideal for those who would like to undertake studies in Adventist theology, without studying these ancient languages.

The course is appropriate for those wishing to use it as a pre-professional degree, or who may wish to pursue a career in, for example, education or church administration. As such, two-thirds of the programme comprises general education and electives, permitting students the possibility to tailor the programme according to their interests. It is not intended for those who wish to enter the ministry or seek a pathway to the Master of Arts in Theology.

We offer courses in Theology, Business Management and Humanities for students pursuing a combination of studies in Business Studies, English Literature, History, Media Studies, Fine Arts, Psychology and Religion. Within these fields, we offer a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, short courses and study abroad programmes. Students can choose to study full-time, part-time, on-campus, off-campus, in intensive mode, or a combination of these. Our class sizes are small, giving students more one-on-one-time with our highly-respected, internationally renowned Adventist lecturers.
