Choose La Cité in Toronto to learn the profession of a journalist in the field!

Become an investigative journalist, reporter, presenter, or even radio host! You will learn to write like an experienced journalist, to master the tools of new media, and to handle a professional camera.

Your teachers? Francophone journalists, working for our partners, CBC-Radio Canada, L'Express, and ChoqFM.

Our practical training in journalism is given within our partner media, as well as in the field. You will also have the opportunity to produce your own reports, host radio shows, or be published in the French-language newspaper in Toronto, L'Express.

The Journalism program takes place in five stages, over a two-year period, both online, and in the workplace (weekends only). This hybrid model allows you to work while training you for your future profession.

Firmly established in the National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario for a quarter of a century, La Cité is the largest French-language college of applied arts and technology in Ontario. Offering a total of 140 post-secondary programs and placing student success at the top of its list of priorities, La Cité has, in addition to its main campus in Ottawa, a satellite campus in Hawkesbury, a business office in Toronto, not to mention its Minto Trades Center - Alphonse-Desjardins campus in Orléans, a skilled trades institute with state-of-the-art facilities.

Year after year, La Cité stands out with the publication of the Performance Indicators of the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities. Aimed at evaluating the quality of the training offered by the 24 colleges of applied arts and technology in the province, these indicators allow La Cité to stand out in particular in terms of the relevance of its study programs and the quality of its learning experiences, the general quality of its services, the employment rate of graduates, the satisfaction rate of students and graduates, as well as the satisfaction rate of employers towards these same graduates.
