Some people were born to shine under the spotlight. If you consider yourself to be a rising star, or if you want to help others tap into their talent through engineering, music production, or teaching, our music program may be the right fit for you.

As a music major at JCSU, you’ll have the opportunity to fine-tune your creativity and develop the skills to express yourself through sound.

If you decide a career in music is for you, our program will help you further develop your knowledge and talents. Our program allows you to focus your study on one of three concentrations: music business and technology, sacred music, or performance. No matter which path you choose, you’ll learn the basics of music theory, as well as the technology and equipment you’ll use in your future career. You’ll also take a variety of hands-on courses. Working with instruments and music production software, we’ll help you develop your own style so you stand out in the music industry.

We are a private liberal arts university with proud HBCU traditions and a future aimed at diversity. We enroll approximately 1,600 highly talented and motivated students from various backgrounds. Our faculty and staff members are equally as unique, coming from all over the world.
