This major is a school-level key construction major, and the business management discipline it relies on is a key construction discipline of Jiangsu Province. According to the flexible setting of professional direction (international logistics, logistics information management) module course group according to the industry, this major has built a fully functional logistics operation simulation laboratory, logistics comprehensive training room, ERP sand table deduction room, and e-commerce laboratory. Students can participate in qualification exams for logistics engineers, e-commerce engineers, and international freight forwarders to help students obtain professional qualification certificates. The professional faculty is strong, and has a team of part-time teachers with rich practical experience and strong sense of responsibility.

Located in Nanjing, Jinling Institute of Technology (JIT) offers full-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses in advanced science and technological fields. The university structures itself upon the strategic research of the reform pilot of the Ministry of Education on application-oriented universities of science and technology. The university is the founding unit of the Association of Universities (Colleges) of Applied Science and chairs the Alliance of Applied Undergraduate Universities in the Yangtze River Delta Region. The predecessor of Jinling Institute of Technology was Jinling Polytechnic University, which was founded in 1980 as the first vocational university in China, and Nanjing Agricultural College, which was founded in 1958 and rebuilt in 1984. In June 2002, approved by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial Government, Jinling Polytechnic University and Nanjing Agricultural College were amalgamated into Jinling Institute of Technology. In March 2005, Jinling Institute of Technology (JIT) began formally recruiting new students.

JIT has three campuses, Jiangning campus (the main campus), Mufu campus, and Baixia campus. The main campus, Jiangning, is located in Jiangning university town, in the south of Nanjing. JIT covers 1,016,400 square meters, including a construction area of 657,200 square meters. JIT owns 2.808 billion RMB in assets, of which the value of teaching and research equipment is 495 million RMB. There are more than 20,000 full-time undergraduates and around 100 postgraduate programs. JIT has established 20 secondary schools, faculties, and colleges, including School of Marxism Studies, School of Business, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, College of Intelligent Science and Control Engineering, School of Architectural Engineering, School of Software Engineering, School of Cyber Security, School of Computer Engineering, School of Electronics and Information Engineering, Faculty of Network and Telecommunication Engineering, Academy of Arts, Animation College, College of Horticulture, Faculty of Animal Science and Technology, Faculty of Material Engineering, College of Foreign Languages, College of Science, International Education College, and Department of Physical Education.
